10 weeks
Baby is now called a fetus in "medical terms". You, however, may have chosen the name "peanut," "angel," "jumping bean" or simply "miracle."
The most critical part of your infant's development is complete. Now you are headed into a period of rapid growth.
While a bit strange to envision, your baby's head is now about half its length - Soon the rest of the body's growth will catch up but this area is prepared to keep up with the rapid brain development!
Eyelids fuse shut and irises begin to develop - Eye color is also determined by this point.
Placenta begins to function this week or next - The placenta is the organ responsible for both the provision of nutrients along with the removal of waste to keep your baby growing strong!
Your baby will be about 1.22 inch long (3.1cm) and weigh 0.14 ounce (4gm) at the end of this week

9 Weeks
Week Nine
Baby has begun movement - While still too small for you to feel, your little one is wriggling, shifting, and dancing already! Makes you almost wish for a window to peek in whenever you want!
Most joints are formed now - and trust that your little one is practicing bending and flexing.
Fetus will curve its fingers around an object placed in the palm of its hand - This is amazing to see! At only nine weeks, if you happen to have an ultrasound, you may observe your infant fascinated by everything he or she can lay their fingers on (mainly other fingers, toes, ears and nose!
Fingerprints are already evident in the skin
Average size this week -- length 0.9 inch (2.3cm), weight 0.07 ounce (2gm)

I'm 6 weeks!
Your baby is about 1/2 of an inch in length (from crown to rump) and is experiencing rapid growth. Limb buds begin to appear on the body, which will later form your baby's arms and legs. Mid-way through this week, your baby's eyes begin to form and tiny depressions will start to appear on either side of his or her head where the ears and inner ear will later form. Your baby's digestive system is becoming more refined as the stomach and intestines develop. The appendix is in place now, as well. At this point, your baby is completely enclosed in the amniotic sac and the stalk begins to grow into the umbilical cord, forming blood vessels within. Your baby's heart is beating and pumping blood, providing circulation for its tiny body this week.

I'm 5 weeks
Fetal development in pregnancy week 5
The changes to your growing embryo are not quite as drastic this week as they've been in the last few weeks. Growth is now largely focused on their little head, which is starting to develop much more rapidly than the rest of their tiny body. This is because their amazing brain is undergoing some very crucial and rapid development in order to effectively regulate their heart rate, blood circulation, and other vital functions. As for the rest of their miniature body, what were simple limb buds last week are limb flippers this week and the tail is more expressed. Amazingly, within a mere five weeks your little miracle is already developing the rudimentary forms of their liver, pancreas, lungs, stomach and nasal pits while their little heart is already increasing its circulation. Your baby is now a whopping 4-6mm in length.

Fun way to tell hubby!
I wanted to find a fun way to tell hubby about the pregnancy, so I really thought about how I would do it! I remembered seeing a beer can that was fake and it had boxers in them. I thought I would make a cute shirt and put it inside and my plan was when hubby asked for a beer I would give him that to him instead! So I made a baby onesie that said "Better than Beer" it turned out pretty cute. Than put it in the can! Later on that evening we were eating dinner and I asked if he wanted a beer he said sure! So we sat down to eat and it was funny because I kept taking drinks of my water to make him feel thirsty he never would drink though! After he finished eating he FINALLY picked up the beer he knew right away something was up because it was so light. He laughed and went to put it down. lol I said well don't ya like it? He said, yeah its funny! said well, maybe you should look inside of it! SO he opens up the top and pulls out the onesie it took a minute for it to register and in a sweet voice he says "Honey, does this mean we are pregnant?" He got a little teary eyed and gave me a big hug!!! Then he went on to tell me not to lift heavy things, eat healthy, etc... It was soo cute! He said well, lets not tell anyone for awhile seeing as 2 months ago I had a chemical pregnancy and had told everyone the day we found out we were pg! I feel alot better and more confident about this pregnancy! Attached is pics of the beer can and onesie!
I did it!
Well, I did it I slept all the way through this morning w/o a buzzing alarm to wake me up to temp! I just knew my internal clock would wake up, but I think I slept the hardest I ever have! I am not having many sxs only sore bbs! Which TMI I keep squeezing to make sure they still hurt! Thats the only thing that lets me know there's a baby in there! Oh and my skins itchy I am not sure if its because I'm preggo or if its this cold weather. My large appetite has decreased I don't feel that hungry anymore. Eating lots of fruits and veggies and only H2O. I have to say I do miss my iced tea. Can't wait until tomorrow I will be on to my 5th week!

My last day of Temping and testing
Today, 1-18-08 is my last day with taking pregnancy test and temping! I know its best for me to stop and to Let God handle the rest of my pregnancy! It will be hard not to temp and I am sure I will wake up everyday for awhile around the time for temping only because I have done it for 5 months! It is like second nature.
